Kyle Sweet, JD has decades of experience as a lawyer working on behalf of business clients, captives, and commercial insurance companies, managing complex litigation and advising clients on risk and safety issues across the country.

Kyle is a nationally-recognized thought leader on safety and process surrounding patient harm events. Kyle works nationally to create collaboration amongst defense lawyers and prepare the next generation of defense attorneys with trial experience.

Kyle has seen firsthand the incredible value that stable and viable risk financing provides to clients and businesses. Kyle has varied business holdings in legal outsourcing, technology, banking, e-commerce, commercial real estate and insurance. Kyle is a captive owner and has experienced how captives transform managing and financing risk into something other than a chronic expense that never generates returns. Kyle has worked with many healthcare clients via their captive insurance structure to return value to the organization through patient safety grants and technology purchases to improve outcomes and care.

Kyle is Past Chair of the Mercy Health Foundation, former General Counsel of the Lone Survivor Foundation and Emergency Responders Assistance Program, and current Board Member of the University of Washington College of Medicine, Collaborative for Accountability and Improvement where he also Chairs the Attorney Alliance Committee and serves on the Nominating Committee. Kyle is graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City-Class 36.

Kyle has a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Political Science from Phillips University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Kyle is a member of Defense Research Institute, Medical Professional Liability Association and Captive Insurance Companies Association. He is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, Texas and New York.
