Oklahoma City (November 1, 2024) – Helio, a national captive management and risk consulting services provider with offices in Oklahoma City, Dallas, Jacksonville, and Kansas City, has added Jerry Messick and Jonathan Messick to its growing talent base. Effective November 1, 2024, Unity Captive Solutions LLC and its principals, Jerry Messick and Jonathan Messick, will provide captive-related services exclusively under the Helio Risk, LLC brand, focusing on complex captive creation, alternative risk management, and fronting structures for Helio.

Jerry Messick has over forty years of experience in the insurance and alternative risk transfer industry. Before joining Helio, Jerry was with two national providers of alternative risk services since 1985, where he held senior positions responsible for loss control, marketing, finance, corporate governance, and insurance company operations. Jerry has been involved with updating captive legislation in Oklahoma and serves on the boards of the Oklahoma Captive Insurance Association and International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) where he is an instructor for Captive Ethics.

Jonathan Messick has over five years of insurance and captive service experience. Prior to joining Helio, Jonathan was an account manager with a worldwide provider of commercial and alternative risk services, where he was responsible for the account management and oversight of large commercial lines clients. He is currently pursuing an Associate in Captive Insurance Designation with ICCIE.
